DESCRIPTION:The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska Domestic Violence Program will be holding a free conference on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls September 4th from 9 am-4 pm at the NECC South Sioux City Campus. Keynote Speaker: Amber Webb, Yup’ik artist from Dillingham Alaska with Qaspeq Project Tapestry of faces of MMIWG. Also speaking: Kim Carpenter, Prison Advocacy Coordinator, Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual &amp; Domestic Violence; Carmen O’Leary, Native Women’s Society; Angie Walker, sharing a personal story of her sister-in-law’s disappearance.\nWhile admission is free, seating is limited to 50 people.
