Ponca Tribe of Nebraska members are invited to join us for the Standing Bear High School Dedication Ceremony. There will be a short ceremony at 1 pm, with performances by a Ponca Drum Group, followed by a presentation by Ponca Tribe of Nebraska Chairwoman Candace Schmidt and Superintendent of Lincoln Public Schools Dr. Paul Gausman. Descendants of Chief Standing Bear will be recognized during the event.
