The Tribal Affairs buffalo program will be distributing buffalo meat at Elders’ lunch, Elders’ Breakfast & Bingo, and at the Annual Powwow! Ponca households can start picking up buffalo meat Friday evening, with meat distribution opening to all Natives on Saturday. Ceremonial pieces are also available on a limited basis, including heart, liver, and kidneys.
Buffalo will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Meat will NOT be held for pick up at a later date. Storage of buffalo meat is not available during the event.
