Eighth Circuit ruled unanimously in our favor

On behalf of myself and Tribal Council, I’m pleased to report that the 8th Circuit Court on Monday issued a ruling in the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska’s favor. As you’ll recall, the City of Council Bluffs, along with the States of Iowa and Nebraska, were suing the Department of the Interior in an attempt to halt our operation of the Prairie Flower Casino.

The three-judge panel on the Eighth Circuit ruled unanimously in our favor. This adds to the long list of rulings from both the courts and the NIGC that affirms our right to conduct gaming on sovereign Tribal land in Carter Lake.

We thank the Court for their decision and look forward to continuing to offer high-quality entertainment at Prairie Flower Casino.
