Community Room | Ponca Health Services-Lincoln

1600 Windhoek | Lincoln, NE
In honor of Every Child Matters Awareness Day, the Domestic Violence program would like to invite the community to learn about the effects the American Indian boarding school system had on Native Americans in the past and present.
The event will include a presentation on the effects boarding schools had on our ancestors who attended or were affected by the boarding school era, followed by a Talking Circle to allow participants to share their thoughts on the personal and cultural effects of the American Indian boarding schools. There will also be a pinwheel activity, where participants can set pinwheels into the ground with a message written. (Family member names, boarding school names, prayers, etc.)
Please park in the north parking lot to enter the community room.
