Each Friday during the month of March, the DV Program plans to hold events in each office location for Women’s History Month. During these events, program staff would like to showcase various virtues, values, and/or characteristics and acknowledge the women who have demonstrated these qualities along the way. The list of qualities being showcased are; Courage, Respect, Wisdom, Humility, Generosity, Integrity, Compassion and Love, Honesty and Truth, Honor, Sacrifice, and Perseverance.
The DV Program would like to acknowledge women from our communities and we invite community members to submit names of the women (moms, aunties, grandmas, sisters, daughters, mentors, teachers, etc.) who impacted your life, paved the way for generations behind them, and influenced the people around them.
Please submit an example or short story describing how your relative demonstrated one or more of the listed virtues, values, or characteristics. If you want, feel free to send a photo of your honored women to accompany their story.
