This is to serve as a reminder to all of our K-12 students that our Youth Initiatives Program for the 2022-23 school year will be ending as of July 31, 2023. If you are a graduating senior, please be sure to submit your application to us by the deadline. Along with your application, please include proof of senior status as well as verification of tribal enrollment. Remember all seniors are eligible for the $500.00 graduation incentive to be applied toward any graduation expense that they choose. Please also remember there are four other areas of the Youth Initiatives Program that a student may participate in:
· Art Contest – This may be a school project or something you created on your own;
· Essay Contest – Again, this may be a school project or something you created on your own;
· Attendance Incentive – Students can receive $100.00, $50.00, or $25.00 depending on how many absences they had for the regular school year (copies of report cards noting attendance can be submitted as proof of attendance);
· Selection for Student of the Month/Year – Criteria can include academics, extra-curricular activity, volunteerism, employment, etc. (proof can be copies of report cards, sports or play rosters, or any other relevant type of verification)
After July 31, 2023, only applications for the 2023-24 school year will be accepted.
