The Ponca Tribal Court and the Domestic Violence Program are working together to host the Ponca Code Series. This series is a training being held to assist tribal members, staff, legal professionals, human service professionals, and members of the indigenous community to better understand the Ponca Tribal Code. The series will be held monthly and will go over one section of the code per event and will be taught by the Honorable Patrick Runge. Lunch will be provided.

In conjunction with the Behavioral Health’s Intertribal Youth Fishing Trip, join the Community Health Workers for a presentation on sun safety! For more information, please contact your local CHW. Tribal Home Visiting will be hosting their next Group Connection, focused on sun safety! During this event, THV families will learn about safely playing in the sun, water, on the playground, and how to protect their families from the harmful effects of the sun while honoring the traditional relationship Ponca culture has with the sun as a source of life and wisdom. A meal, sunscreen, and childcare will be provided. We’ll be working on sewing projects, making bracelets and necklaces while sharing important information about elder abuse.
