What happened to our ancestors has the power to affect our lives and how we experience living. For some of us, the trauma and drama we experience today as Native Americans can be traced back to one of the original acts of aggression towards Native Americans, Indian Boarding Schools. The Domestic Violence Program is here to help survivors who have experienced violence within their lifetimes.

The Domestic Violence Program will be hosting a Wiping of the Tears ceremony for Indian Boarding School survivors and/or their descendants at the Ponca Restoration Powwow. Please join us as we offer ceremony to those who seek healing from Indian Boarding School trauma.
