Adventure with an Indigenous Mind

Project Venture is a youth development program designed specifically for Native American youth by the National Indian Youth Leadership Project (NIYLP) in Gallup, New Mexico. NIYLP envisions a generation of healthy, capable, caring, and resilient young people who are making a positive contribution to their community, peer group, and nations.
Niobrara Project Venture shares this vision for the young people in our Northeast Nebraska communities, both Native and non-Native.
The Project Venture program utilizes a positive strength-based approach and traditional Native American values to empower youth to create their own positive environment and a more positive future for themselves and their community.

- Increase decision making and problem solving skills
- Connect with peers, family, and community
- Reduce risk-taking behaviors, substance abuse, related issues.
