Please note that the financial year does not necessarily follow a traditional calendar year. A fiscal year is denoted by the year in which it ends, not in which it starts. For example, a fiscal year for entities under tribal affairs runs from October 1st through September 30th. Therefore, the 2023 fiscal year runs from October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023.
